Database Administrator

Experience:

3.5 Years Plus

Skills Required:

• Master degree in IT related field with experience of 4 years or more in RDBMS.
• Database certification (OCP or equivalent)
• Command in PL/SQL
• Command in Query optimization
• Profound knowledge of Data recovery

Responsibilities:

• Improve the system response time by optimizing the database
• Provide regular technical support and maintenance
• Make all necessary arrangements to secure data, database, network and all software/hardware
• Ensuring the integrity and consistency of data in the system
•  Review and updated the database and DMS architecture as per the changes in the system
• Hands on experience of evaluation ,selection and implementation of DBA tools to improve the
  effectiveness of tasks such as performance monitoring of the system
• Created complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development
• Regular reviewing the database design and stored procedures and recommending opportunities for enhancement to the client
• Following documentation and coding conventions
• Work closely with developers and system administrator to understand the requirement for
  smoothly running the platform
• Control access permissions and privilege
• Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans
• Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
• Carry out capacity planning
• Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database.
